1. System Installation & Configuration
Install and configure operating systems (Windows, Linux, or Unix).
Set up servers, storage, and virtualization platforms.
Deploy and manage enterprise software and services.
2. System Maintenance
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.
Maintain system documentation and procedures.
3. User and Access Management
Create and manage user accounts and permissions.
Support identity management tools such as Active Directory.
Enforce security policies and access controls.
4. Network & Infrastructure Support
Manage network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Maintain server hardware, cloud infrastructure, and data centers.
Coordinate with network engineers and IT teams.
5. Backup & Disaster Recovery
Implement and manage backup solutions.
Test disaster recovery procedures.
Ensure data integrity and business continuity.
6. Security & Compliance
Monitor system security and apply patches.
Manage firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint security tools.
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
7. Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose hardware and software issues.
Provide technical support to internal teams.
Respond to system outages and incidents.
Qualifications/Requirements
Operating systems: Windows Server, Linux
Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V
Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
Monitoring tools and backup systems
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
2–5+ years of experience in system administration
