Chief Information Officer (CIO) - Healthcare

Summary

Hartman Executive Advisors is seeking an innovative and ambitious Chief Information Officer (CIO) with significant experience in the healthcare industry to work alongside our senior team of IT and business professionals to serve as a fractional IT leader for our clients. This will encompass creating strategic technology plans, acting as an operational leader to implement these plans and positively contributing to key technology-based initiatives.

As such we are seeking candidates who have a strong history of leading high performing teams, achieving measurable outcomes and building robust stakeholder relationships. In addition being able to work closely with executives along with having an executive level presence is a critical success factor in this role.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years progressively responsible, related experience as a VP of IT and/or CIO
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry, preferably within Senior Living or FQHC environments though not required.
  • Understanding of business level issues, industry trends and workflows within the healthcare environment.
  • Significant familiarity with Healthcare IT vendor ecosystem particularly around electronic health records/billing, enterprise application architecture and business intelligence.
  • Working knowledge and experience establishing or participating in HIPAA Security and Privacy programs.
  • Experience and success building and working with high performing teams comprised of both internal and external human resources.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, budgeting, verbal, writing, executive presentation, and meeting management skills.
  • Proven ability and interest working effectively in fast paced environments.
  • Ability to interact effectively across organization/ diverse cultures, and communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively
  • Ability to align/ focus resources across the organization in achieving short and long-term goals
Requirements
  • We are seeking candidates who reside in the Mid-Atlantic region (MD/DC/VA/PA/DE/NJ) preferably 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering/Business related field
  • MBA, MHA or other advanced degree is desirable
