The Business Development Coordinator role provides value to the organization by directly impacting our sales function.  Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead generation activities such as:
    • Facilitate introductions to our Business Development team members, including leveraging existing relationships to create opportunities for introductions.
    • Conduct industry research to grow leads list
    • Research CIO and IT leader job postings to identify companies that are actively seeking IT leadership
    • Identify companies that are in transition or in dynamic growth situations such as an office move, change in leadership, or acquisition
    • Research “scope sheets” to target companies who are planning a corporate move
    • Research award winner lists to identify leads
    • Conduct LinkedIn research to identify connections to leads
  • Develop a standard process for sales support activities that includes:
  • Research on individuals and companies prior to sales meetings or events, as well as aid in follow up communications and activities
  • Support sales meetings by reviewing LinkedIn connections to prepare requests for introductions
  • Enter sales information into and track results in CRM
  • Coordinate events, with strong focus on creating lead generation opportunities and driving CEO attendance
  • Represent our organization at events and association functions, with the goal of creating early stages of relationship to transfer to one of the sales team members
  • Understand business functions and drivers that are of interest to our CEO clients and prospects
  • 3-5+ years experience in a business development related role.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and high volume workload.  Strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • Initiative to identify and communicate opportunities to contribute additional value to existing and prospective clients.
  • Experience working with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
Equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing/Communications is preferred
