Summary: 
Hartman is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer consultant to build and maintain a new cloud strategy and infrastructure and complete a transition from on-prem services to container-based AWS.

Responsibilities:
  • Properly and securely configure services hosted on AWS EKS and on-prem
  • Make recommendations to improve application architecture
  • Migrate on-prem services to AWS containers
  • Monitor and troubleshoot web and backend applications
Requirements
  • 2 years working closely, hands-on, with AWS in a DevOps capacity. Understands Kubernetes and Docker, AWS compute server options, AWS database and storage options, and AWS security options.
  • Comfort administering Linux and SQL servers (we use CentOS and MySQL/MariaDB)
  • Skill with one or more programming languages, especially Perl, PHP, Python, and GoLang
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Internet infrastructure
  • Understanding of change control, change management, configuration policies, Agile, and ITSM in general
  • Working knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Nginx, SparkPost, Drupal, MongoDB, writing Linux daemons
  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in related field, or 5 years of applicable experience
