Tier 2 Helpdesk Technician

Position Overview:

Hartman Executive Advisors is seeking a motivated Tier-2 Helpdesk Technician Contractor to join it's project team by providing hands-on support to end-users for a wide array of Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical requests. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills which are balanced by solid technical experience.  Candidate must reside in Mountain or Pacific Time Zones in any of the following cities:  Portland, OR / Louisville, CO / Olympia, WA / Seattle, WA / Salt Lake City, UT

Project Duration/Schedule:  
Minimum 9 months / 40 hours per week / 8:30am - 5:00pm Mountain or Pacific Standard Time

Duties:

  • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests related to IT issues
  • Responsible for user support related to Laptops, Desktops, Printers, Servers and related peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, webcam, etc.)
  • Maintain user laptops, including upgrades and configuration as needed
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of users
  • Train staff on general applications and corporate systems
  • Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and license users
  • Install, configure, and upgrade laptop software
  • Provide first-response for system troubleshooting
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • General awareness of computer systems, laptop repair, and network management
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft and Adobe products
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise
  • Ability to deploy, configure, and support operating systems on laptop and mobile devices
  • Understanding and appreciation for information security within systems and user devices
  • Experience with Active Directory is required
  • Strong drive to provide excellent customer service and experience, with an awareness of prioritization of tasks, stakeholders, budget, and time
  • Citrix experience is a plus

Education & Experience:

  • 4+ years of applicable experience
  • CompTIA A+ Certification and/or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certifications are a plus
