The Vice President of Information Technology is a newly created opportunity, and it will be the highest IT leadership role, overseeing all areas of IT operations including architecture, infrastructure, applications, web, security, quality assurance, data and service. The VP of IT is responsible for establishing the company's technology vision, it’s strategy and it’s roadmap in alignment with our organizational strategies and priorities, and then implementing them in partnership with our senior management team. They will contribute to overall business strategy by bringing a current knowledge of technology trends and opportunities that the company can leverage to strengthen our operation and our ability to make a positive impact. The VP of IT also ensures the IT department’s culture remains customer service-oriented, responsive, collaborative, participatory, and respectful.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Responsible for envisioning future technology needs, and for recommending technology resource strategies, priorities, and projects that will best achieve the strategic objectives.
  • Continually improves IT operations by systematically measuring performance towards accomplishment of institutional and divisional goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices. 
  • Build collaborative relationships with our vendors to ensure IT services are delivered seamlessly and cost-effectively to the business.
  • Continuously analyze how technology can benefit the company or improve existing business processes; integrate systems to realize that benefit or improvement.
  • Participate in the development and management of the business strategy with the understanding that business strategy drives the technology strategy.
  • Identify and develop the organization’s capability to use new tools by reshaping physical infrastructure, network access, and application delivery when necessary.
  • Drive or head up crucial IT projects essential to the strategic and operational objectives of the organization by serving as Project Manager where applicable.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND TALENTS:
  • Requires college degree (BS) in computer related major.
  • 10+ years’ experience in progressively responsible IT leadership roles including executive level IT experience, preferably in multiple information technology fields such as system administration, network engineering, software development user support, and technical project management. 
  • 10 Years of Information Services management experience with an emphasis on planning and project management.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or MS) in business related field strongly preferred with 5+  years of experience identifying opportunities for application of technology to support and grow business operations including finance/accounting, sales/marketing, human resources, customer service, and building infrastructure development and improvements.  
  • Experience in a senior living or health care environment desirable.
  • Experience with Yardi preferred, but not required.
  • Proven experience with network and systems capacity planning, security principles, and general information technology management best practices.
  • Track record as a strategic business partner at the highest levels of an organization.
